Guangdong: Focus on accelerating the development of industries such as integrated circuits and new energy vehicles

On May 29th, the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government issued several opinions on the high-quality development of Guangdong in the new era (hereinafter referred to as the "Several Opinions").

The Several Opinions point out the construction of modern industrial clusters. Efforts will be made to develop advanced manufacturing, create a tiered industrial pattern, and strive to create a national advanced manufacturing cluster. Promote the development of 20 strategic industrial clusters, with a focus on accelerating the development of industries such as integrated circuits, new energy vehicles, new energy storage, and ocean ranching, and add several trillion yuan level industrial clusters. Targeting artificial intelligence, quantum technology and other fields to seize the high ground, we plan ahead to build a number of future industrial clusters. Deepen the implementation of industrial infrastructure reconstruction projects and major technological equipment research projects.

Promote demand oriented technological breakthroughs. Implement the ten-year "Zhuoyue" plan for basic and applied basic research, and improve the stable and diversified investment mechanism for basic research. Deeply implement the research and development plan in key areas of the province, and promote the "Guangdong Strong Core" project and core software research and development projects. Deepen the reform of the scientific and technological system, and explore innovation in scientific research organization methods, innovative element allocation, and achievement implementation and transformation mechanisms.
